Sam, completed his 200-hour certification in Hatha Yoga. He has completed Anusara Immersions I, II & III, and is also certified in Assisting and Adjusting by Stephanie Pappas. His journey began in the mid-1960s after writing a book report on yoga and discovering the asana Malasana, reflected in 45 years of mastering this pose and many others. His practice deepened beyond the physical during a Poconos adventure when he stayed at a vegetarian B&B where the owner and staff were members of the Self Realization Fellowship (Paramahansa Yogananda). Their influence provided his first exposure to practicing during Brahmamurta, outside in the pre-dawn hours. He believes we all keep learning and that his current practice began at the turn of the century. He enjoys being a grandfather, exploring his own personal practice, singing and surfing .
