Experience a transformational journey through the seven wheels of consciousness with Valarie and Ian Haag of Rainbows of Healing! After an overview of the Chakra System and Sound Healing, we’ll move through the Chakras from root to crown in a guided meditation, learning experientially through sound about these spinning ‘wheels of light’ and their personal and practical application to our lives. Feel the soundscape of Crystal Singing Bowls, Native Flutes, Gongs, Monochords, and other sound healing instruments re-frequencing each chakra while finding your own unique, dynamic balance. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

Are you discovering that Yoga has much more to offer than poses? Yoga provides tools for living every day. Yoga teaches us how to make the most evolutionary choices for the path of our soul at each crossroad we encounter. These tools - these yogic philosophies can be found in yogic texts, one of the most popular is The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
In this workshop we will review the sutras (sutra translates to "thread" in Sanskrit, a sacred language of yoga.) We will review the Sutras in English and Sanskrit. It is suggested that you acquire the book so that you can follow along most easily. You may also want to read all or some of the text prior to the session and bring your questions. Don't worry if you don't understand some of what you read. Our group discussion will address your questions. You will use this book often along your yogic path - so the purchase is a wise investment, and of course you could purchase it used or borrow it from a local library.
To build the wonderfully uplifting vibration that comes from this practice, we will work straight through. You may enjoy plenty of fresh water and light, easily digestible snacks. Consider this when planning your meals for the day. If you have attended this practice with DorothyO in the past, you may attend it again at no additional cost, though you will have to bring your book and simply register with me via email.
